Starting point of the thesis is the regional developement programme called "Regionale 2010", for which Leichlingen city counsicl would like to apply.

Sheet No. 1 demonstrates the integration of the city Leichlingen in relation to the surrounding larger cities Cologne and Duesseldorf.
The map also shows the course of the river "Wupper", the largest river of the district "Bergisches Land" running through the middle of Leichlingen.
